Hello!!

Can we convert an 6280 to 6288?

hy!

this phones are using completly the same firmware, even they are both rm-78. the only difference beside the casing (i.e. the buttons are different, big woop, etc...) ,is the memory card that is delivered with the phone. (6280 is shipped with 64mb card and 6288 is shipped with 512mb card, if i´m not wrong now)

so the answer is yes and no, couse they are simply just the same

Yes, u can convert 6280 to 6288. But be sure to check the firmware ver, must be same or higher. If low, use downgrade option.

change product code of 6280 for product code of 6288 and flash your phone and when you make *#0000# appear nokia 6288 not nokia 6280

Can this be achieved with a normal cable. NSS and NSU?

Got a old 6280 that I will dig up and try it if it will work.

you can do this with a normal cable go to nss and change product code .
then flash with anyone box or nsu

6280=6288 same firmware and hardware so if you need to convert 6280==>6288 change the housing

Yes lol Exactly the same phones

Our Customers Are very picky on 6280 and 6288 so we make all of them 6288

by changing product code hehehe

Can someone help me, I've changed Product code via NSS.

Loaded NSU but it doesnt pick up the phone in order to update it? And now even NSS cant pick up the phone to check what the product code is again

I get the "Reading values.... Error in NSS"

I had changed the Product code from 0537240 Nokia 6280 3G UK to 0549009 Nokia 6288 06.43 Euro-C_UK_Red
