bb5 unlock facts.

hello every body ,,

the few facts are .

there is no algo yet for bb5 discovered .
the only way is j-tag.that edit the security area that can not be acessed by using fbus,mbus,or usb.

if algo was found then there would be server solution already ,,the sol not coming in market is ,because ,,it can not be protected,,
its need only interface and and bootloader and its done ,,,u can read write flash and edit parameters,

certificate rebuilding is not related to sp unlock its just to do with imei and flash file edit protection.

splock area is easily editable ,,only we need few genius people ,,who can give us jtag for this bb5 cpu ,,once we are able to communicate ,,with cpu ,we need bootloader file ,,than most of guys on forum will make sol.


it takes 5 sec aproxx to unlock bb5 .

no one has decoded algo yet ,other wise lot guys would be able to sell u codes.

Aparently not even by Jtag, as I read in the forum.

Still a big discussion.

But the data that Dejan supplied seems to be obtained by TI Jtag debugger
that costs $$$...

Maybe he will give more hints...

Yeah Jtag cost much..

But.. on this forum is many ppl waiting for bb5 solution - why we cant just donate for someone which will buy jtag and will be trying to debug it ? i.ex: admin, someone from JTAG team etc.. ? (just example )

even with the TI Jtag you still need to be a tallented technician
to obtain debbuging info

alas, i don'r think people here would go for your sugestion, there are just a few people that would colaborate and the experts are too busy in descovering it themselfes to make $$$

sell BB5 solution he makes his soft free...

I think theres many ppl who can break this algo when they will have jtag.
Just want to say - i havent experience, im not asm coder/analyst etc..
but will be nice when we`ll donate for jtag who is good with it.

Hm...

It's not easy to use JTAG on BB5 phones.
You have to reconnect broken JTAG chain TDI->asic->arm->DSP->TDO ,etc..

now all can see why all new SW are so expensive .
We can also see why BB5 solution is not done and not comercial .
The answer is so easy.

THE REASON IS : SO MANY CRAZY BOYS LIKE YOU.

Why not to pay for good SW ? Everybody want to have free,cracked,.....
That is the reason : nobody want to work on it so strong to earn money only for a week !!

Many stories...about BB5.There are People in this forum working at NOKIA but at Different Positions.Which Department of NOKIA corp. has the Full Idea about the BB5 Development???

One thing I don't understand - if security area can be edited by JTAG, why unlock code check calculation can't be monitored?

A second thing I don't understand, too: If simlock data is not covered by certificate how then simlock data is rebuild by certificate restore?

hey dude, there are no "different" positions, nor "stands" about BB5.

Has Dejan as revealed HIMSELF, unlocking bb5 is possible, but this is not for
the common of the mortals. Mr. Dejan is a brilliant technician and if he says he has unlocked it, well you better believe it. And no kissing asses allowed.

Fu**, the guy can't post anything without being harassed about the matter.

Anyway, besides spending 2999$ in a TI XS560 (is that it?) you need to spend HOURS turning your BRAIN inside out to make and understand the connections with JTAG (dejan as just complicated this matter with is last post )

but sol is tuff ,,
certificate rebulding has to do with imei not simlock.

j-tag depends ,,Dejan can make jtag with few $$ ics.

i have ti j-tag which is used for lg phones,,but a normal person like me can not make it communicate with phone as Dejan clarified ,,u need to join several ,tracks to make it a communicatig circut with j-tag.

so not connecting 4-6 wires is only thing.need to more work than that.

at this moment 3 people can do this ,as far as i know ,

Dejan is first person to have and develope it ,

*** is second person(dosent want me disclose his name)

zulea is 3rd person

being if that the case any chance of diags to what tracks need yo make circuit etc as building jtag is easy .plenty diagrams fer jtag making around.i have a wiggler type home made will that work?

hmmm...

as i understood this debbugging is only possible with TI JTAG Boundary scan equipment. But i can be wrong (as will be probably)

i also know (it's written somewhere in the forum) that Dejan´s is or was working in some kind of soft.
