Nokia lost smartphone selling sector...the cheap Nokia ones are still selling well because of the reputation...but this will not last long: Nokia will lose this sector too if it's not changing their policy...

Nokia said its market share in the country is still dominant with a range of almost 60%. Being in second place is China's mobile phone are all brand about 20%, then 17% followed by Sony Ericsson, Samsung 6%, 4% LG, Motorola 1%. Cumulatively, "chinese miracle" NOKIA STILL KING ...........

It ***** and there is no progress in it, while google keeps updating theirs best in the world Android. HTC, Samsung and some others already accepted that system, and they are going up fast. |

Member: 133351 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 20 | There are several reasons why nokia is loosing its market share. Not only 1 specific reason. The OS , their security etc etc.......... The best way to take market share back is to go open source on their platform and setup nokia communication center as RIM is doing with its ping option. For all others saying this is a useless poll/post , i think you dont have an opinion or dont know how to make an opinion. Iphone has far the best touch interface. Every brand has its own advantages. I tried the android on htc and sony ericsson , still like iphone the best. The thing i am missing in Iphone is the ping option and multitasking ( real multitasking ) best regards |

Member: 12660 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | Symbian...... I dont see how BB5 SL3 could/would have any effect on Nokia's market share! End users dont really walk into a store and say "nah I dont want that Nokia it has SL3 security" The average Joe doesn't know the letters SL3. Personally I believe the fact that Nokia is still dwelling in the past with the Symbian platform and yes they launched Symbian 3 but look at most of the other handset manufactures they are opting for Android. Nokia need to drop Symbian and either climb on the Android wagon or develop a new and fresh operating system. Cheers |
