My problem - GSM-Forum

Hi there,

I recently received a phone from my Dad as I am in need of a new phone as my last one clapped out not to long ago.

The problem is the previous employer who used the phone was fired and the phones lock code (nokia 6680) has been activated. the default code of 12345 is not the code either.

With the phone came a usb cable "Ma-8630c" I have tried installing the software that comes with the cable, however it can't install/see the phone when I plug it in (possibly because the phone is in offline mode?)

I have tried the Sp unlocker made by Dejan Kaljevic (nice work there too) but unfortunitly once I have the right port and I click 'read phone' it asks me to check the connection (Bad connection! check......)

I have so far been through 30 pages of the thread so far looking for a solution, I don't like to cause trouble if there is already a solution posted. However I am down in little New Zealand and I feel that maybe this cable/fone won't work.

I would prefer not to send my phone away to nokia to have it reset as they want quite a fee and I'm a student. I have the proof of purchase (box) etc if that helps.

If anyone can help me unlock my phone or post a suggestion that would be great.

heres NSS's diagnostic if it helps.. wasn't able to do the rest of the flashing guide ( thought that might help) as a gsm-magic link doesnt work

alrite bud what windows you runnin with this prog i couldnt get mine to work with vista only xp you can try if you on vistsa try changin theme
