Security code locked on Nokia 6270 - GSM-Forum

Hi there,

For some unknown reasons my nokia 6270 has locked and asks for security code at startup. What i did was to enable the security level to phone security and i was using this phone as a MP3 player till i get my new SIM card. Then when i restart the phone it started asking me for security code. I never changed the security code from the defaul 12345. I tried the master security code, which i got from some other forum here, but it still gives me a "code error'". I dont have a clue here. I tried the master code, the default code but no help. Also tried the master code after 12 hours, but stil the same error.

FYI i am very new to this thing of unlocking. So in your replies give me very detailed guidelne which a new person like me can understand. Also dont use the short forms, as it makes my life more miserable.

What options do i have. Can i do at home by buying some cable/box or i need to go to some phone repair shop. How much would it cost me with each option.

I had a 10 digit master code from a russian site (1364152243). But even that is not working. Even after entering that the phone gives me a "code error"

I dont know what to do..........

No way exists to open the security code of new mobile coz the master code calculator u r talking about is only work for older phones only not for the new one so take that mobile to any shop they will reset the security lock for u for only about a 2$ or if u r in ASIA it cost only 100 or 200Rs. only coz there is no cabel that can unlock the security code with out BOX and its expensive.

Make Factory Default with JAF or UFS .

it will remove the Lock Code

Hi There,

Guys thanks for all the help. My problem is solved. Yest night when i tried, the phone accepted the default security code and then by using my friends SIM i disabled the security level option, and everything is back to normal.
