Does anyone know if the OMAP1610 has ARM's "Jazelle" DBX or "Direct (Java) Bytecode Execution" in its core? I've come across something that said the ARM core in the 1610 is ARM926TEJ and I believe I've likewise seen that the "J" stands for "Jazelle", which was first introduced in a 926 series core. So I'm pretty sure this is something the OMAP1610-based Symbian S60 phones have, but before I set about committing to a development language/IDE (carbide.j for Java vs. carbide.vs for Visual Studio .NET C++) I want to feel assured that Java would run respectably on the 6680/81/82 models, which feature "unlimited JAR file size".

Thx in advance to anyone who can solidly confirm or deny that this Jazelle DBX hardware instruction set exists in the ARM9 core in the OMAP1610!

S.L.
