Writing/reading EEPROM in Testmode - GSM-Forum

Hi!!

I'm wondering how a program like Ericsson Home Service Software is able to read/write to SP-lock/IMEI area( without the phone writing over the EEPROM with crap). If I try to do so, (when I've entered Test Mode) the phone writes FF over the whole EEPROM. How can I change those mem adresses when I'm in Test Mode without the phone writing over the EEPROM with crap?

Try addresses 4000-7fff instead of 0000-3fff, they mapped into the same EEPROM area. SP-lock bytes can be read safely from location 7xxx (see Ericsson S8x8 memory dump and add 4000 hex).
