Ericsson A1018 - GSM-Forum

I have been a Nokia user for quite some time and is quite familiar on unlocking them. But I came across an Ericsson A1018 99W43 and is currently simlocked to Telstra. Anyone situated in Australia will be familiar with Tesltra and their prepaids.

Can anyone give me any advice on unlocking via cable or possibly just retrieve the unlock code to be typed in? What software should I use or avoid? I have currently tried Zulea's ATR 5.0 but when I clicked "UNLOCK", a dialog pops up saying "previleaged command" or so. What does that mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi,

ATR 5.0 works 100% with me on a1018... try changing port and use win98.

You are using Win NT/2000! This will not work

Use Win 98

Win ME works fine too (with ATR I mean)
