A1018 problem - GSM-Forum

Hi all!
I have 2 Ericsson A1018s with a strange problem:
phone says "insert correct card" without any card inserted.

Any solutions ?

Just flash the phones !

I flashed one of them-no results. I used all known unlockers-nothing.
The second phone i cant flash at all.
It switches on every time I press NO button.

Look IMEI you phone, Use ATR 5.3 from Zulea, enter IMEI in "repair IMEI", press "repair phone", àfter that reflash phone

I repaired IMEI and reflashed phone by ATR 5.3 but nothing.
Phone still "Insert correct card" without a card inside.

download eeprom and flash from http://www.legag.com/phone/erics/flashs.php, and repair phone

Look for corrosion on the bottom connector.

use atr ser 5.3 flash repair imei with original imei number and flash phone and finally unlock phone
tested 100%

you need to flash + eeprom then its ok however i dont remember if you need to unlock to, but this is so old

1) download flash & eeprom, or use working...
2) Use ATR 5.3
3) Programm them, then write "new" (original) IMEI & programm again with the same flash. If still shows "Insert correct card", then press "unlock".

hello i need unlocke my phone 1018 but is old version.i used atr 5.3 and unlocke my phone after pc say phone is unlocked.but they say old version before99w36. and after i put inside card phone is still say insert corrcet card.would you like to teel me what can i do please advsend thanks alot.
