Samsung S5230 dead

Hello,

i got a Samsung S5230, which was flashed with the Files from an other Samsung phone.

The Phone doesn't start anymore.

With SAM Software i can't connect the Phone. Also Bootloader Repair doesn't work on SAM Software. It shows only the folow:

Connect Phone to RJ-45 Without Battery !
ExBL Failed: Invalid NAND Boot
SET_BAUD Failed: 0

The cable is brand new.

Does anyone this problem ?

After a long time and many test, i repaired the boot section.
I dont know why it worked 1 time after 50 trys.

But yet i can set the phone in download mode. The new Problem is i cant flash.
SAM Software shows allways USB Time-Out, the samsung drivers are installed but for mobile phone modem isnt installed, there is no driver in HWK folder for that.

Please tell me how to flash this phone. Moreover which options must i set in SAM Software and which flashfile parts are needed ?

Thanks

You need to use a cable which supplies power to the phone, because need to flash without battery, you need to select ALL files provided in the zip file INCLUDING boot file.

@ODIA, which cable do you mean ?

Is it possible that you post a picture ?

I have RJ45 cable for Twister to Phone and original S5230 usb data cable.

I repaired Bootloader via RJ45, but flashing didnt work via RJ45 and also not via original Samsung data cable.

Thanks

You DO NOT need combo cable, to have RJ45 cable and original USB is enough, in fact most popular cable manufacturers combi cables DO NOT WORK!!! but my 5rmb sh1ttek cable is perfect

Yet I found that problem, it is because SAMs Software just load BCMBOOT and BOOT2 if you do Bootloader repair.

And on Flashing Mode, you can just give 1 file into BOOT section.

With Multiloader (Samsung Original Programm) you can select the complete Bootloader Folder.

In there are BCMBOOT, BOOT2, PATCH_DSP, SYSPARM_DEP, SYSPARM_IND.

After flashing the Bootloader Folder with Multiloader, the phone worked again.
So its just a Problem that SAMS cant select the whole folder.

Thanks for Help

Looks like you did not have the correct options enabled, e.g. Tick enabled next to BOOT filename and Tick Change Boot.

I will test it, but I dont have actually such a phone here.

But I have a other question ODIA, is it possible to reduce the Window Size from the HWK Software ? I mean, on a Netbook with 1024x600 pixel, you dont see the process bar, or buttons Buttons. Also not in Fullscreen mode.

Thanks

it gives me set baud error

Connect Phone to RJ-45 Without Battery !

I tried with and without battery......tried to reconnect phone in the moment when program asks to chose the bott file.....and always set baud error 0 !!!

To repair dead S5230 I used E210 rj45 cable:

Step by step:
1. Select S5230 from models list.
2. Select boot file bcmboot.img from firmware boot folder.
3. Tick "Boot change" in "Write options".
4. Press "Boot repair" button.
When see "Connect Phone to RJ-45 Without Battery !" connect phone without battery to the box with rj45 cable (you will be asked to select boot2.img file):

After this procedure you can switch your phone to download mode (Vol+Camera+Pwr on) and flash it with usb data cable.
5. Tick "Full download" ("Boot change" must be enabled too).
6. Select firmware files.
7. Press "Write Flash".
