To Solder or not to solder

Hey guys, just tried setting up my HWK in my UFS-3 box as in the picture featured in the installation line, however the software did not connect it. I only place it loose on the pins, is it required to solder the pins or could i have a faulty hwk?

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Billy.

try slightly bending the pins so it creates a tight fit

But have you installed UFS suite? The older software won't see the HWK, you need to run the KFZ or SAMs 1.4s version as they reset the HWK and the signon banner appears.

Also, you say loosely placed, you need to push the connector right down on the 16 pin header to ensure contact is made, and to ensure it doesn't short out on the box of the UFS3.

you should NOT have to solder. That is rediculous. Have reseller replace it.
