Hi, i have the same issue with this device and i have used the program you have suggested and it says that the phone i have is currently on the highest build version and cannot continue with the upgrade. Any other suggestions on how to remove demo from the device?

From what you posted, looks like device have either specific or operator PID,
so MobileUpgrade won't update/reflash it, so

few ideas :

1 - read and check traceability partition, to see which is the current PID in device
1a - changing PID to retail one, then again use MobileUpgrade

2 - read firmware from working device (make all security backups first from your demo phone),
then write to demo device

3 - (if phone allows) bootloader unlock, magisk, root, Titanium backup or similar - to remove demo*.apk

there are more ideas, but these are first to do.

p.s. You can try checking the PID with some of these codes :

Enter MMI test
Input *#2886# in the dial pad (GL version)
Input *#*#2886#*#* in the dial pad (AUCHAN version)

To check the software version
Input *#3228# in the dial pad (GL version)
Input *#*#3228#*#* in the dial pad (AUCHAN version)

Thanks for the response the code for my device is 5039D-2*ALGBK which i know is kiosk mode and need to change it to ALGB1. What box would you recommend to read the data out of the device? As when I've tried boxes before i have no luck because it doesn't have the security to be able to unlock the device and extract the information out of it.

You can try with loader, any box that supports qualcomm devices (and custom loaders)

p.s. if you manage to read traceability, use some hex editor to change pid inside it, write back and try updater.

99% the same procedure as for 5039D, but different PID.

Succesfully edited pid with nck dongle

Exe Version: NckDongle Qualcomm Module 0.13.2
Operation: Write Provider ID
IMEI: 353317100123456
Model: 5039D-2BALGBK
Secro: X2D0C201CX00
Writing: 5039D-ALGB1 and took effect when i check in traceability with *#2886# code

after when i try to upgrade with mobile upgrade q i get this error :

There is no greater software version available to upgrade your device, actual version of your device is the latest

any advice ?

Either same or higher version already inside ...

2 ways to solve:

- try with other same model device to put retail pid and update
(after flash read that updated device and write to other)
- service flasher must be used, it has refurbish options, so can reflash same version

btw. is that the pid that you wrote ? - 5039D-ALGB1 ? because its not correct, must be 5039D-2BALGB1

make "traceability" partition read and upload somewhere,
maybe i can fake sw version ... lets try
