But, before try ... read my previous post and try if factory updater is able to restore/update your device (in case that something goes wrong - its the only free way to fix bricked phone). Pre-Requisite : Phone must already be on v01008 (Android 8.1.0) now ... procedure (credits: 4pda) 1. Open the developer settings in phone menu (settings/about/build version, tap several times) 2. Turn on usb debugging 3. Allow unlocking the bootloader (oem-unlock) 4. Download and UNPACK the system image at the link: system.sgs.v01008.gz 5. Unlock the bootloader (even if it is already unlocked, do it for the wipe): Code: adb reboot-bootloader fastboot oem unlock DATA WILL BE ERASED !!! - Confirm the unlock with the volume rocker (up). 6. Now flash system.sgs.v01008: Code: fastboot erase system fastboot flash system system.sgs.v01008 fastboot reboot 8. activate the FakeGapps module in Xposed (fake signature plugs for the market). 9. reboot the device. the end ROM Info: Code: -Removed most of the built-in applications. -Replaced calendar (Boxer). -Replaced calculator (Google). -Replaced file manager (Cyanogen). -Removed the market, instead of it AuroraStore. -Gapps stayed in place. -Disabled SELinux. -Added SuperSU and Xposed. -Added autorun script /data/userinit.sh. If not ... you are doing procedure on your own risk, and things *may* go bad. b.r. Alex
