I tried everything i could and i am starting to think that the bootloader can't be unlocked. I have adb and fastboot 1.4.1 minimal install on my Windwos 7 x64 Lenovo Thinkpad T420 laptop. Every command seems to be working fine, only the command for unlocking the bootloader is failing. So, every time when i run 'fastboot oem unlock' the command do not execute and shows only three dots. If someone can help me solve this issue it will be greatly appreciated! PS: I can't post the code from the command line or screenshot because the stupid spam filter won't allow me. I want to install custom recovery as TWRP. |

(after making backup of ROM via SPFT) All of that, without touching bootloader b.r. Alex |
I thought it's not possible to install custom recovery if the bootloader is not unlocked. If i understand correctly the bootloader is coded to recognize only the stock recovery, and to recognize custom recovery it has to be unlocked. Anyway, i have twrp image file for my model though i don't know if it is working. I found it by searching in google and i tried to flash it using Flashify but it didn't worked. The tablet did go in loop on booting and i had to do hard reset. Can you point me to a guide to flash twrp with SPFT? |

worst that can happen is that you can lose recovery menu :D so, download : 9002X-2XTNBG1_Scatter+Recovery+Preloader_by_bRkA In that archive you have original recovery in case twrp is bad, so just remove recovery.img from archive, put twrp, rename it into recovery.img, load scatter file into SPFlashTools, UNTICK PRELOADER, install drivers, press start, connect powered off device to cable, wait to finish, and disconnect cable, try enter recovery ... if it shows up - good. if not, just return original recovery.img from archive, restart spft, load scatter file, reflash without preloader. p,s. download SPFT from google, MTK drivers also. if somehow you scr3w it up, don't worry, can get original ROM (either VIVACOM, Telenor or that third one ...) p.s.2 you didn't post original PID, so I'm just guessing which PID you have PID is, for example : 9002X-2xTNBG1 or 9002X-2xVVBG1 or 9002X-2xMPBG1 p.s.3 SPFT = SPFlashTools (MediaTek flash tools) b.r. Thanks, will try that. I am not sure where to find the original PID, it shows the model only as 9002X. I downloaded the latest version of SP Flash Tool 5.1836 and tried to flash the twrp recovery but it didn't worked, the tablet won't boot into recovery. So, i tried to recover the stock recovery. I downloaded the stock rom for alcatel 9002x, i found it on internet, but i get error when i tried to flash it. I don't remember what was the error but one of the solution i found searching google was to use the format option in sp flash tool. I run the format and then tried again to flash the stock rom, but i get another error: ERROR : S_NOT_ENOUGH_STORAGE_SPACE (1011). Now the tablet won't go into recovery or turn on. Did i screw up the tablet? Now my PC won't even recognize the tablet. I think i bricked it. |
Yes, i forgot to write, not to use full format, ever. I also included original recovery to restore. Probably battery got drained in the meantime, too. Now, find original pid of the device, its usualy on some sticker, And on the original box pack. B.r. Alex |
I used the original recovery from the link you posted, but it didn't worked. I got error, something like this: pmt changed for the rom it must be downloaded'. After that i did the format and start getting the error for not enough storage. I found a stock rom for my model and now i am trying to flash it, but when i start SP Flash Tool and connect the tablet i see a notification in the system tray that the usb device is not recognized. I have laptop Lenovo T420 with Windows 7 x64. I got the tablet second hand, without documentation, only the tablet with usb cable. The sticker on the back is worn out but i remember it showed 'model 9002x'. I also used apps like AIDA64 to view tablet specifications. |
Okay, i assumed that it's from some of bulgarian providers, So i got files that were available for telenor model. Possibly it's some other. Unknown device came because is stuck in some preboot mode. When connect it, hold power button for some time, While check in device manager if different port appears. I will prepare other roms if you confirm that device Is from some of bulgarian operators. B.r. Alex |
I think it is from vivacom because it had vivacom app in the stock rom. I tested flashing with holing the power button but it didn't worked. And i didn't see other port to appear in the device manager. This is a screenshot from the device manager and the flash tool while flashing. It shows all android and mtk drivers i installed, though i don't know why the yellow symbols appear. https://i.imgur.com/QU2zAkw.png |
I will prepare ROM files and other stuff, but you have to solve the drivers problem(s) first. Factory drivers : Alcatel_MTK_Driver_Auto_Installer Also, looks like device is stuck in some strange mode ... half booted ... You will need to somehow reset it to be able to flash it. Either by disconnecting battery or else. stay tuned, I will update as soon as prepare rom and upload it. b.r. Alex |
ROM Download: 9002X-2xVVBG1_BCT_CV0_V01_Pixi3-7_3G_1SIM_Original_Stock_ROM_by_bRkA Fix drivers, try to flash. p.s. this post will be merged with previous in 12hrs. b.r. Alex |
I installed the drivers and tried to flash with the ROM you posted and it worked. Thank you, very much!! I thought already that i have to throw the tablet in the garbage can. By the way, how did you find the right drivers and the right rom? I spent lot of time searching google. I found a stock rom on firmwarefile com which included drivers also, but obviously the drivers were not good. |
Drivers are from factory updater, and are universal. Rom file is from factory support... And is original, Non-touched factory rom... B.r. Alex |
You said not to use the format option in SP Flash Tool. Why is that? |
