Sorry if this post is not supposed to be here.

How can I sim unlock my 1016G Alcatel ? I have downloaded a bunch of xxxx box module but it does not recognise my phone, nor is the 1016G present in the Alcatel category.

Do I need some kind of hardware ? Like an xxxx Box ? Or does a typical USB - microUSB work fine ?

Don't Spam Forum.... For use Software you need buy one Box or Dongle.
Price for unlock is about 1€.

Yeah, I get that you can pay to have what you want, I prefer learning and that's what I am trying to do.

with life and personal stuff/devices that he/her owns.

This forum is open to all kind of technical questions, and all people are
treated here equally with same kind of rights.

Simplest Alcatel unlock way (beside unlock codes)
is reflashing device to RETAIL version of ROM/Firmware.

Now, if you can post original pid of the device
(from phone's back sticker - ie: 1016G-3xALFR1)
maybe we can find same or similar retail rom (with same set of languages).

If I am not wrong - rom you need is France Open Market,
which can be downloaded here : *** EDIT, dead link.

Flashing tools + drivers : *** EDIT, dead link.

- Install drivers
- unpack flasher + rom file
- start flasher, click single cogwheel icon, select rom file
- press start (play icon) button
- hold GREEN DIAL key on phone, insert usb cable
- drivers will be installed, flashing will start (maybe you will need take out usb cable and re-insert battery)
- wait for finish. if phone don't auto-restart, take off battery and re-insert
- insert any sim-card and power on the phone.

test and post results ...

I have loaded:
1016G_L5FR_V2.1_161219_MCP32_32_FM_FR_RETAIL
in flasher it says "V2.1"
but when I check in phone it says only "V1.3" dated "151008", straight after I have flashed few of files to check, all files matched filename version with version in phone except this one. Is it just numbering problem or is it not V2.1 really? (Please don't take me wrong, I'm so happy that You shared it, just wanted load latest version, I'm a bit confused if should I stay with V1.6, or this one is really V2.1 just displaying V1.3 ? )

May be some numbering error.
However, here is re-downloaded file, see if it's the same version again.

I think this is old file with new version name, some naming error...
