some doubts regarding local,test,normal modes-help - GSM-Forum

i have flashed and unlocked many sets in mtbox-but never think about flashing modes.i saw following modes in mtbox

1.unknown
2.local
3.test
4.normal
5.rf inactive

but when cable connect to on set shows test mode in mtbox-so i think flashing and security code unlock in mtbox in test mode-am i right?

i want the explanation and use of other modes unknown,local,normal,inactive

help me ---thank u

all function will work in test or local mode mate.

BB5 unlock will not work in test mode, you will have to put in local mode

BB5 unlocking does work even in normal mode. I'm unlocking phones like N95, 7370, 7373 using USB cable and phone fully turned on.

Yes mate you are right DON'T WORK in Normal mode but work in test and local mode,that i say.

Nice to know. I always put in local mode as was writtin in manual of MTPRO.
