I saw this process before i forgot where it's at, can any one show how to make an Asian 6618 to an S45 then S45i? thanks

BTW does it have to use the Programming cable or is the supplied DATA cable enough?

is there S45i_FW0401? On www.gsm-dev.de/index2.html there is only S45i03...which is also great in case you're desperate

6618 have two C489 flash! I tried flash my 6618 to s45i, it dead!

Try the site : http://www.o45m.ru/soft8.html .
It has a description for the different flash types, even the case with 2 C489. But it is in Russian .

Use something as : http://www.translate.ru and then pointing to that site to get it to something that looks like ...english !

The main issue, as I understand, is the different memory layout or structure for the 6618 or the 2 C489...

But why don't 'search' this forum topic with keyword = 'C489' ? ....

My 6618 C4C4 success upgrade with this step :
1. Upgrade with siemens firmware S45 V30
2. Upgrade with siemens firmware S45i V04
3. Write this flash address 290000 size 050000 to your phone http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CDL-on...4%20290000.bin
