How to change the imei of a50? - GSM-Forum

Hello everyone

I am a complete newbie when it comes to unlocking GSM.

I have a Siemens a50 and a serial cable to connect my GSM to my computer: "for RS-232" is displayed on the cable (maybe you have to have tis information)

How can I cahnge my emei nr of my GSM. Can I do It with the program called freia or Must i have another program

please help

flash it widt C45 sw. and then you can change imei. You have to change 1 resistor in the phone, too.

MMh i've have read this method but can't I do it that the imei nr that is airing to the operator is a different one then my gsm shows?

because i haver read about the 1xwrite rom. but i thougt it was stil possible to change the nr without flashing it to a c45?

(sorry for my bad english)
