im really confuse about this program...

i read some topics about the CRC calculator, correct me guys if i understand it wrongly...

these calculator can calculate the times you upgrade or modify the software in your phone and eventually you can also restore back the orignal value where it was first upgraded?!!!

am i right?

CRC Calculator is a tools to correct the CRC value stored in the full-flash file.

CRC Value is two word coming from the CRC Check function (in the firmware). If we modify some bytes from flash, then sometimes the CRC function result is different with the previous ones. If it is happened, then phone could be die or "Wrong Software". CRC Calculator did the correction of those two word value.

As far as I know, there is no need to use CRC Calculator for SL45 firmware. And also, both version (siemcrc and siemcrc4x software from Darkbear) is not compatible with SL45. Even for fresh-original firmware (the firmware donwloaded from the normal phone directly after we do WINSWUP on that phone), siemcrc4x says that the CRC (for SL45) is wrong ...

Siemcrc is usefull for C/M/S-35, and siemcrc4x is usefull for S/ME-45.

ps:
- There is another way to work with CRC stuff. Disabling the CRC Check function will also prevent phone from its dead which caused by wrong CRC.

For which phone? SL45? There is no CRC Check inside SL45 firmware. So, you don't need to disable it.

Hi,
for A35, and S/C/M35. I have tried to change the language for a a35, everyting works fine, but after 2 minutes the phone switch off and after reboot show ''Wrong Software" . I thing it is something about CRC.

yes, u r right!
for a35 if u write paritial language after some time -> wrong software. u need full flashing on it
but in c/m/s 35 all ok, maybe turn off on "internet"(ziemens workshop), but if u write lang with martech - > all ok
