A50 unlock problem - GSM-Forum

I have upgraded A50 firmware from 02 to 040101, and I am trying to unlock my phone with A50 Unlock v1.02.

I click the START-button, and press power button on the phone, but I get this message:

"Operation fail - Repeat please" & "Strange answer: 5A00"

What is wrong with this? Does this mean I cannot unlock my phone? It is very disappointing....

The testpoint is shorted to ground, and I have done this 3 times to make sure it is correct. I also tried unlocking my neighbor's A50, and it worked fine on version 02.

Since I upgraded the firmware to a LG/T9 version I don't need, I wonder if anyone knows where I can download version 040203 for A50??

please help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I do unlock A50 Unlock v1.02 program with version 030408, 040408. Unlock done, but IMEI changing everytime, when I do unlock by this software. What's problem, somebody can help me?
How to repair original IMEI OR how do unlock without changing IMEI.

OK!

I have managed to unlock A50 with kSiemens

100% working now.

BUT! I am looking still for someone who has FW 040203 for A50?

Can someone tell me where to get this?

Are you sure? You've unlocked a50 with kSiemens ??? It has support for a50? Strange...

Why would I say it works if it doesn't? I am not lying.

Service Provider unlock on A50 works with kSiemens v5.1.
I will post a description of how it worked.

Maybe v. 5.2 (I saw link at gsmfactory web). Anyway, if it is free so tell us something more about it.

Here is how I did it:

1. Set phone model to C45 in dropdown menu
2. Choose Write Flash > Write Flash from *.FLS format
3. Load your *.FLS file
4. Change START address from 0xC00000 to 0x000000
5. Press READ-button
6. Wait until finished

A50 is now SP-unlocked. Tested and working 100% with kSiemens v5.1

I'd just like to know WHAT KIND OF SOFT HE'S USED FOR UNLOCKING. I'm sure that he change a50 with m50 probably.

OK, so I am wrong... hehe (I'm a n00b anyway!)

I must have used a flash file that was already unlocked, and I used kSiemens as a tool to flash the A50 - but the flash process worked 100% and the A50 is SP-unlocked...

I'am the one who helped lexthekjex to unlock hes A50 with kSie 5.1. He's saying the trught. It's realy working 1000%.
There is just one small thing:
I am using a flash from a helthy A50 (I've downloaded it from a russian site-don't remember exactly). After unlocking the soft became v04.04 (It doesn't boders me-I am bulgarian).
There is the procedure:
1. Open the phone and connect TP to GND (then kSie is alowed to comunicate with the phone)
2. Choose C45 from the menu
3. Change the start adress from default 0xC00000 to 0x000000 otherwise you'll kill the phone
4. Flash the phone using full flash a50 04_03full_un_ba20.fls
5. Be sure that you're not using any screensaver or something like that because any interuption stops flashing (you can try it again if it happens anyway). It takes quite some time to complete but when it's ready (wait to complete 100%) the phone is unlocked.
6. Optional - you can now flash the phone with any flash (over ver.4) wich suites your language - the phone will be still unlocked

This method can wake up even "dead" phones from partial flashing.

If someone has a place where he can upload the flash file, contact me on my mail - I'll send the file.
