I also have a SMALL problem,creating partial flash.
When i create partial flash the programs says 1st partial is start adress 05 second partial starting adress 13 ????????????
What does that mean,when i select SL4x (suppost to do with MT50 !)starting adress for fullflash is 000000 ending 600000.
So where do i start with partial flash?????

Somebody ????????

@Dentin (and all with same problem):
Thank's.
*) If you look at to the bottom of the screen (green text), you can see WARNING message. New addresses uses non-empty area. Please post the result, and I will give my advise to solve that problem.
*) I'm sure it work for its (A3x) full flash file. I did try it with a3x.bin I got from the net. But, I can not guarantee that everything is oke after you upload that file to your phone. I do not have that phone to test and check the impact.

@Rossifan (and all with the same problem):
If you got that partial flash, then do this (I also write these method in the latest help text) :
1. What is your filename used to save that files ? Let's assume your *NEW* filename was new_ff (or new_ff.bin), then your partial flash are new_ff_05.bin and new_ff_13.bin
2. Run UniSiemens, select your phone model, Open File new_ff_05.bin, modify FLASH FROM value (it was 000000) to 050000, FLASH SIZE value (it was 600000?) to 010000, and do Write Flash ...
3. Open File new_ff_13.bin, modify FLASH FROM value to 130000, keep FLASH SIZE value with 010000, and do Write Flash ...

Hope it give more information for you all...

@ken:
1. OK. I'll change it (for rtmod, because some friends of mine also have the same comment) to the normal font (it is Small font size 7, I will use MS Sans Serif size 8...
2. C25? I think I was not include that firmware inside the INI file. Let's assume that you did modify the INI file and add data for C25 firmware. Then, do you mind to post some data about that firmware, such as : the first address and new address from the table, which partial flash file(s) did you upload ?

Thank's,
RizaPN

@Dentin:
As I say, after you Load your file, please press Search button, and you will see some information in the bottom. The problem is that new address area is not free in your fullflash file. What I need is the information about where your free area is... Please post only the free area information, text based, do not use graphics. I think, it consume more bandwidth for all of us...

Thank's,
Riza PN

I can't believe it I didn't figure that. Now before I give that txt, one question. Is it enought to when some new flash is entered and software, already doesn't support it, to choose search and than press config and this mean that this new addresses is already entered in the *.ini file and that now this flash is also supported?

Now here is information you wanted

While I am writing this I didn't check if there is already some new posts, so I am sorry if someone already explain this.

Look what I did. I opened flash file of my ME45i, you know what's the story about it and I was completelly sure that your soft doesn't support this one, which it also says. Than I use search button and than configure. After that I changed few ringtones, not all because this was only a test, and no matter it tells me that warning message. Than I create that two partial flash file and write it in the phone. Put battery out and in and turn on the phone and it works with no problems and ofcourse there is that changed ringtones I made.

So, now I am not sure is this happenes just in this case or this warning message doesn't have any meaning if you before use search option so that soft find free area in your flash file?

Once again, I want to THANKS A LOT to you, RIZAPN an to tell you that you are PURE GENIUS, and if I can help you in any thing, any where and any how, I will do this, you can count on it.

@Dentin:
*) That message is a warning about using non-fress area in the flash file as a ringtone data. It will overwrite the existing data. If it was a data which is need by phone to be work normally, then we will have problem if we overwrite that area with other data.
*) From your free area data, I think we can use adress 136000 as a starting point. Open rtmod.INI, go to [Ringtone] section, modify ME=42,4,... with ME=42,4,136000 (and if you like, also the S45=42,4,... with S45=42,4,136000, then save the file.
*) Run rtmod, Open your full-flash file, press Search (yes, again), press Config to save the new values. After this, you should not be found any Warning again ... then, just redo what you were done before.
*) For S35v20, modify S3=42,0,... with S3=42,0,320000 and do the same step with ME ones...

@Rossifan:
*) The partial address is not 13xxxxx (with 5 x), but 13xxxx (with 4 x).
*) Sorry for your Wrong Software. It is not cause by modifying only 1 tone, but I think it was caused by selecting the wrong free area (130000). You can modify just one with same risk with modify all tones.
*) If you have your original full-flash, then re-upload that file to your phone. Hope it will make your phone normal.
*) If you still want to continue to modify your ringtone, please edit rtmod.INI file, goto [Ringtone] section, modify M5=24,4,... value with M5=24,4,068000 and MT5=24,4,... with MT5=24,4,068000 (read again carefully, there are 3 zeroes after 068). Then, save the file...
*) Run rtmod, open your full-flash, press Search, and press Config. After that, you can redo what yo were done before (inserting your selected tones).

@Ken:
*) OK, it was C35v2501. Theoritically (from my software source point of view), if the full-flash is working normally, then the partial flash (from the same operation and same source file) should work normally also, because those partial flash are the part of that full-flash file. Problem will occur, if we only upload 1 partial-flash file, not all partial files generated by that operation. That's why I want to know what was done by you, also to make sure that I did not do something wrong again in with my software.

Thank's, Sorry, and Good Luck,
Regards,
RizaPN

I was that user. I did that change and no matter to warning message, I did that and it works OK, but because it was just a test, I bring back backup so I didn't use phone for very long time. Can you solve this problem for c45?
