C55 keypad codes

Hello, people! I'm new to this forum, as I'm new to gsm, but don't worry, I won't bug you with tons of stupid questions (just a few, maybe :D).

So here it goes: I just got a C55 about a month ago, and I've seen people talking about crazy stuff that can be done with a data cable.
But can anything be done by just entering secret codes on the keypad, like with other phones (e.g. Motorola)?

I don't want to unlock or flash anything, at least not now. I just want to put my name on the display, but the company says it's impossible, and that's hard to believe.

So, what do you say?

So this means C55 or even all Siemens phones don't have such codes?

Dont know of any code, but you can make a logo with your name in it.

Alright, that's an idea.
Even so, I'd have to use a data cable, right?

Sure, you're right! OR you can use your friend's Siemens for sending a picture from his/her phone to yours by SMS. It can be rather a expensive experience, but you have no need in data-cable. :D

Ps

If you don't want to flash or unlock your phone, you can try to switch on Developer Menu in your C55.
Great thing: BS infos, GPRS info, ACCU info, Temp. info & more!

That can be done with the data cable, right?

The point is, I'm not sure I can trust these home-made cables I've seen around. Furthermore, I'm very affraid of doing something stupid that can ruin the phone, so I'm trying to avoid the cable.
