Siemens c60/mc60/m55 etc. PERMANENT contrast solution here

i had few m55 phones,
died on gprs, so i flashed software, and
tuned contrast with contrast tool / sst ...
but after reset to defaults contrast gone ...

here's the 100% solution :

- use sst/contr.tool to adjust desired contrast
- use SkyLord's eeprom tool 3.15,
- connect phone, from right select LOAD ALL
- select field 5007, transfer to left panel, save it as *.bin file
- use ANY hex editor and in second byte put same value as in first byte
- in eeprom tool (still opened in background) load edited file
- transfer it to right panel, press SAVE ALL, wait to finish, EXIT.

all done, contrast change in menu work ok now,
and after full factory reset contrast is ok.

p.s. BIG phuck to martech/sst and all PAY solutions.

hi,

no more reclamations, of course

one more thing ...

if you have display that you are not 100% sure if it's ok or not ...
use SST cracked, and tune value for display type 1 : from 45-47
and if not ok try value for type 2 : from 100-105
if yu dont see on display SERVICE MODE ...
then faulty display or hardware problem
(i solved almost all cases by rehoting CPU only)

If you follow instructions exactly step-by-step, you can use 'Save All'
It's important that you have loaded all fields in right panel of EEprom Tools

I suggest 'Save selected' anyway (be carefull what fields are selected)
