SME45i stopwatch

When using stopwatch, after some time phone goes idle, which is not what I want (especially when measuring ), is there any possibility to keep stopwatch screen on when time is running?

You could increase the "idle time", there should be a patch for it. But that would be valid for all kinds of activities, not only for stop watch. But honestly: the two minutes standard "wait to idle" time is enough, just tip a key each two minutes. I think you can approximate at which times you want to look on stop watch or want to stop it.

Yes, you are right, I was thinking about increasing the idle time for all menus ... but what is interesting and why I am asking for this is fact that in C35i it worked ... this ability is important for me because I need to collect some samples in 10-20 sec interval ... but I have also regular stopwatch
but what I don't understand is this "developmental recession" - except the ability showing the stopwatch on when running, other useful functions were lost in newer models - flashSMS directly on display, replacing the number inside sms with contact from contact list ...

1.I made a patch for this idle problem... this one
and I know also how to correct it the way you would like, but I won't make it.

2.I don't agree with your "development recession" theory.
You cannot say that C35 fw is better of SL45 or S45 one, but only that you are more used to that (I know what I'm speaking, I have x35 phones).
About your "bugs" they are so not for a fw recession, but for a precise choice (1.idle is necessary for autolock phone, 2.flashSMS are lost if phone turn off, 3.caller phone number could be misunderstood)
Maybe not the best one, I agree with you.

ad 1. I don't know whether to thank you or not ... I have already made a shortcut for stopwatch and this way it works ... but I really don't like to see the phone going idle when I am holding samples in my hands ... would it be possible to show stopwatch at least when keylocked?

ad 2. and 3. I am not saying that newer models are definitely worse, but I think that some functions were set up well and changing them was not very clever (autolock off is IMHO acceptable in stopwatch screen when the time is running; when my operator send me a message “missed call number XXX” I prefer the phone to replace the number with contact from addressbook rather than show the number only; it’s a shame because this worked in clean non-patched ME45) ...

You, RizaPN and others have done a really good job, I used a lot of patches from here and didn't say thanx, so now it's time: thank you not only for patches development but even for step-by-step instructions how to use them .
