Okay, I believe that whoever explained how to use the patches to increase drive A's size was not quite specific. I've just reapplied the first patch (removes T9) after reflashing my phone. Now what? Do I read the langpack, size 0x10000, starting 9C0000, in the flash backup that I've saved, do I read size 0x10000 starting 5A0000 !? After that, what else should I do?

To apply patch you must move your langpack to 0x9C0000! And your new langpack should not exceed 64 kb! That's all.

Read fflash, decompile langpack, remove all languages exclude needed, compile it back to flash, write fflash back, then read 0x5A0000 and save to langpack.bin, after this write langpack.bin to 0x9C0000, then apply patch for increasing disk A

I have put the english language pack online at http://www.siemens-m55.go.ro/lang_20...13_From_9C.bin .

BE SURE TO SAVE ALL YOUR FILES BEFORE APPLYING THE PATCHES! YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE DATA CURRENTY IN THE MEMORY, INCLUDING THE ADDRESS BOOK!!!

Use Smelter to extract the files from the fubu and copy them back when you are done applying the patch and the langpack. But before copying the files back, go to the file browser, hold down # and when the hidden folders appear, go to AddressBook and rename all the files, except .lock to anything you want. Then do the same with PersistentData\SMS\SMS.dat . Now you can copy all your data back using Siemens DES (Data Excange Software, just click the Mobile icon on the desktop). Ignore any errors. After all the files are on the mobile phone, turn it off and then back on.

Congradulations! After following these instructions, you have a lot more space on your handy!

I will look into the second patch (keeping one T9 language) later, right now I've got a couple of exams to pass

Cheers!

@kay PLEASE modify your post on the M55 Flash Patches thread so that people don't lose their data!

well, i did like these...
- apply "increasing disk A up to 3.625MB w/ one lgpack & one T9" patch
- load 64kb langpack into 9C0000
- i didn't load any T9
- turn on the phone (it takes a couple seconds)

phone turned on but now the languages to be shifted!
it's not show the correct message, e.g. "camera" become "load", etc.!

need more specific explanation, plz !!!!!!!!

that's means, that langpack, which you uploaded to phone not from v11 (from v10). You must find langpack from v11

Speaking about the patch that increases disk A's size... Well, right now I've got 3.75 MB on drive A but number 9 from the digiclock is really screwed up. Where and HOW can i move it ?

Cheers!
