Member: 58757 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Okay, I believe that whoever explained how to use the patches to increase drive A's size was not quite specific. I've just reapplied the first patch (removes T9) after reflashing my phone. Now what? Do I read the langpack, size 0x10000, starting 9C0000, in the flash backup that I've saved, do I read size 0x10000 starting 5A0000 !? After that, what else should I do? |

BE SURE TO SAVE ALL YOUR FILES BEFORE APPLYING THE PATCHES! YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE DATA CURRENTY IN THE MEMORY, INCLUDING THE ADDRESS BOOK!!! Use Smelter to extract the files from the fubu and copy them back when you are done applying the patch and the langpack. But before copying the files back, go to the file browser, hold down # and when the hidden folders appear, go to AddressBook and rename all the files, except .lock to anything you want. Then do the same with PersistentData\SMS\SMS.dat . Now you can copy all your data back using Siemens DES (Data Excange Software, just click the Mobile icon on the desktop). Ignore any errors. After all the files are on the mobile phone, turn it off and then back on. Congradulations! After following these instructions, you have a lot more space on your handy! I will look into the second patch (keeping one T9 language) later, right now I've got a couple of exams to pass Cheers! @kay PLEASE modify your post on the M55 Flash Patches thread so that people don't lose their data! | |
