You just have to use a non-original cable. Most of them found on ebay are working for this. Or in most cases, the sync station (if you have one) is working too, though it is original equipment. But you have to connect both cables (power and serial connection) to the station, which causes you mobile to reload every time you plug it in. In my eyes some disadvantage, so I'm using standard serial data cable (noname). Patching stuff: VKlay in version 2.6 or 2.7 is sufficient for SL45. The newer versions only support more phones but don't have more features you'll need. "Siemens Picture Change 2" is sometimes needed for graphical patches. Hm, that's it for a beginning. Don't forget to reload your mobile at first and make a full backup (fubu). This can be done with vklay easily (ask again if you need guidance). Update: Search for "SWup" files in the version v56 you need. The tool is sometimes not working, but you can update your software without any harm to your personal data. Though I presume to make a fubu before updating anything. Can't be wrong. |
