@babakhp

yes, there's no beep after answering machine note. for this reason I changed my message note compatible with this situation.;)

charlielao 08-19-2004 01:04

@babakhp
Thanks for the help. Now ANM works. But still the caller can hear the background sound (microphone is still on). Is this happening to your phone?
Also, i removed the DISABLE DICTAPHONE BEEP patch, now i can hear the beep after the vmo. Maybe this will help. :)

charlielao 08-19-2004 01:46

@babakhp AGAIN :)
The beep i hear after the vmo has played is very weak.
Also when i change the COUNTER to 0x444CC4: FFFFFFFF E7F80A00, it only rings 2x then the vmo plays. So i changed it back to 0x444CC4: FFFFFFFF E7F84000 . Now it rings 9x before the vmo plays. :)

babakhp 08-19-2004 11:08

Does anybody knows how to calibrate the phone antenna!?
is there any software or so!?

vizionar 08-19-2004 11:19

Bug in CDR v2.3

There is a bug in CDR v2.3 patch. When we dial a call and connection is not made because dialled call is busy, that call is not logged. As if we didn't call at all, although it is shown in normal Calls dialled (on green button) list. Riza, if you find some time, please make this patch perfect by correcting this bug.

While I am at it :) there is one suggestion to improve CDR: names in SMS logging. You probably had this in mind also, but it doesn't hurt to say it ;)

vasek 08-19-2004 18:52

I have problem with ANM:( When call is connected is displayed only "Error opening file!" and ANM isnīt active, call continues...

babakhp 08-19-2004 20:14

@vasek
"Error opening file!" appears when there is no am.vmo in voice memo folder on MMC. The interesting thing is that after apprearing this message the dictaphone does not work properly and does not record and save any more files!!! turning off and on the phone resolves this problem.

check if there is the exact filename!!

hrfonouni 08-20-2004 07:31

@RizaPN
thanks for Address relocation of BSI patch.
now I see different values in supernet and your signal indicator value? which one is more correct?

thank you in advance

hrfonouni 08-21-2004 08:45

@lalo.lerry

would you modify the "Show temperature instead of time v.3" for SL45 to display (-) degrees too please?

rc-flitzer 08-21-2004 12:19

@hrfonouni:
Minus degrees... I don't know if the SL45 can measure such values. I mean, I don't want to test it, the phone would freeze, really freeze... Do you want to stick it in your refridgerator? ;) Where do you live so it's that cold??

trustkill 08-21-2004 12:28

@ all:

Any solution for the bug in SCI (v4.1) showing thousands of outgoing SMS ?

hrfonouni 08-21-2004 12:46

@rc-flitzer

here, in tehran, sometimes the temperature reaches -10 in winter. maybe not practical, but I'm curious if the sensor control of temperature can measure minus degrees or not.
btw lalo.lerry has provided in latest temperature patch for S/Me45i. I think it's a good one and can be modified to sl45 version.

DeadManS 08-21-2004 12:48

when i know, ME45 S45 turning off on low temperature, i think SL45 also turning off, when winter is come i try :) -20 -30 :)

trustkill 08-21-2004 12:52

This is from user guide:

Operating temperature: -10°C to 55°C :D

hrfonouni 08-21-2004 12:55

@trustkill

thank you for providing such an information. now it's logical that sl45 can show minus degrees untill -10°C. :)

Ahahah...I agree with you, RC!
In fact it was dp_sun who added + or - sing (and lost C character), not I.
He told me via PM to add selectability through application menu, to check and to pubblish it (what I did).
He also told me that he was asked for that modification, in Russia may occour underzero temp (brrrrrrr..).
I really wonder how (bad) phone works at those temperatures.

So, who make this patch modification? You or me?

That also happend to me, I don't know why! Maybe I switch back to version 3....

naransula 08-21-2004 13:16

@cyperghost:

switching back to previous versions does not solve the problem. i think all versions have the same bug. the bug was reported previously by trustkill and me. Riza would check the patch and, as i know, SCI (v4.1) actually aimed at the prevention of this bug.

@naransula

thanks, but the new version had some changes by Riza after I posted this request, and now there's accordance between the new patch and supernet. the link you sent me is before address relocation and doesn't work for new patch. Riza already has inserted the new values in last patch.

;@ RizaPN
thanks for "ICD. Incoming Call Display" patch, it is fully packed and usefull.
after UNDO old patches and APPLY "ICD" all functions work very well but,
i have a problem!

Now "Assigning any Ringtone to Any Number (v3a)" works well but "+ BlackList " does not work and leads to turn-off.

Great patch Riza..Thanks :)
but i have some problems:
1- i applied FAM2 and ICD and ANM and modifications for ANM patch...but calling images does not work...it does not show any images. display number wirks fine. I attached my picture to be shown to this message. it is 101x38

2- "+ BlackList" for me does not reject the call. it does not turn the phone off for me !! it only mutes the ringtone for adressbook entries with X in their postcode.

(I did undo the previous version of all patches, I applied thi line in ICD too:
;If you want callers images function:
0x4456A8: FFFF E00E

but it does not work!!

Thank you anyway!

hrfonouni 08-22-2004 07:56

Dear Riza,
there's an address mismatch between your ANM and ICD patches.
in your ANM patch we see:

;Enable ANM for incoming call:
0x3AFC56: DAE0C0CB DAE4D04C

and in your ICD patch we see:

0x3AFC56: DAE6B2FA DAE46056

BTW, I applyed this one from combination of two above:

0x3AFC56: DAE4D04C DAE46056

but none of the ICD and ANM works.

babakhp 08-22-2004 07:58

@hrfonouni

Check this by Riza:

Apply the code after applying both ICD and ANM.
For me ANM works, showing number+name works but showing images does not work.

rizapn 08-22-2004 08:38

Sorry, my mistake. Please re-apply with the "Corrected" ones, and DO NOT forget to apply also the "Additional Info" ...

rizapn

naransula 08-22-2004 09:45

@Riza:

Thanks for the new patch, Incoming Call Display. I noticed the address conflict reported by hrfonouni. Actually you added "Additional Info" here but those junior members may find it difficult to use the patch. I think it is better to change the line below;

0x3AFC56: DAE6B2FA DAE46056

with this one;

0x444CD0: DAE0C0CB DAE46056

Otherwise, without inserting a note into the original patch about the fact that there is additional info here, there will arise lots of questions.

Naransula

hrfonouni 08-22-2004 10:06

@naransula:
then you say ICD patch is better to be changed like this:

@Riza
Great Work Riza...now it works allright!!
Now incoming call screen is much more beautiful than before!!
But the problem with the "Assigning any Ringtone to Any Number (v3a) + BlackList " patch still exists. (i mean the "+blacklist" part)

rizapn 08-22-2004 10:30

@hrfonouni+naransula:
How if I just want to apply ICD without NAM? :) That's why I wrote: "If you also apply ANM..."

That's the consequence of using the same entry-point.
Next time, I will write it more structured.

rizapn

hrfonouni 08-22-2004 10:40

@Riza
but if someone wants ICD without ANM, the old data for address is:

0x3AFC56: DAE6B2FA

but in ANM patch, the same address, uses different entry point in old data.
how is this possible?

0x3AFC56: DAE0C0CB

naransula 08-22-2004 10:53

@hrfonouni:

As you see, two different patches use the same entry point, which is the case for many patches. If this is the case, one of the patches should also involve a call to the other one or, as Riza points out, a more structured patch should be written in order to prevent address conflict. One of the beautiful examples is provided by rc-flitzer in his collection of main-screen patches.

rizapn 08-22-2004 10:54

DAE6B2FA is the original data (from fresh FUBU) in the address 0x3AFC56.
DAE4D04C is call to the (incoming part of) ANM patch.
DAE0C0CB is call to the previous SNN patch.
DAE46056 is call to the new ICD patch.

What I meant with "same entry-point" is : 0x3AFC56. All mentioned patches (ANM, SNN, and ICD) redirecting 0x3AFC56 to their address. It can be written in a clear structure just like :

0xZZZZZ0: FFFFFFFF DAE4D04C ; if you want ANM patch
;0xZZZZZ0: FFFFFFFF CC00CC00 ; if you don't want ANM patch
0xZZZZZ4: FFFFFFFF DAE46056 ; if you want ICD patch
;0xZZZZZ4: FFFFFFFF CC00CC00 ; if you don't want ICD patch
0xZZZZZ8: FFFFFFFF wwwwww ; if you want a similar patch (use a same e.p.)
etc-etc ...

rc-flitzer 08-22-2004 13:20

@trustkill: Hm, I will test it soon.

A question about ICD patch: is it possible to show name&number only if there is no image available? It's because the old "calling images" patch provided pics in size 101x65, and if I see a picture of the person, I (personally) don't need name&number.
Or (sorry, I did not test the patch yet), can I just have 101x65 pic that overlays the name&number line?

I had the "old" 101x65 pictures on my mmc, if N&N is active it looks very ugly. If N&N is off the phone shows nothing or crashes...
I edited them all to 101x38 and now it works fine (not the 0000000.bmp).

PS: Iīve lost my whole adressbook today. Itīs better@ all to save this before you apply the newest patches !! :mad:

MacKam 08-22-2004 20:02

@RizaPN

About ICD - great work! like always :) What do You think about SMS images?

charlielao 08-23-2004 02:15

@ Master Rizapn
My ANM works ok except for the fact that the caller can hear the background sounds. Anything wrong that i did?
I applied also your FAM2,ICD.

rizapn 08-23-2004 04:07

@trustkill:
*) let me check for 0000000.bmp.
*) About loosing addbook, yes, it happened to me also once (first time when I try FAM and any other related file access patch). I think there is something "wrong" in the FAM patch need to be corrected. But, it only happened once, and I can not reproduce the error (until now my addrbook is just fine), so I still not able to find the main caused. Sorry for that (and also for other user who loose their addrbook) ...

@rc-flitzer:
I will provide a capability to use a bigger images for caller (name and number could be overwrited) in the next ICD release. So, you can create your own image size, bigger images will overwrite name and number, medium image will overwrite only the name, and "small" image will displayed together with name and number.
I also think about animated caller images... :) It is possible, but I need more RAM space to save the images data without creating another problem.

@MacKam:
Yes, it is possible. I'll try it ...

@charlielao:
That was reported in previous posting. FAM2 and ICD has nothing to do with that ANM problem.

Patch Problem !
Please be aware that all related file access patch (BFA, JSTV, ANM, CDR, and ICD) is conflict with midlet. BFA and JSTV are not a big deal (we still can run them while we are not running any midlet). But, ANM, CDR, and ICD are possible to be executed while the midlet is running. In that situation, there will be a problem ! (try to press RED button for a long-time, if your midlet is hung) :(
I will try to fix this in the next releases ...

rizapn

naransula 08-23-2004 05:01

@Riza:

About your ICD Problem; you are right: ICD create a problem if the incoming call is happened when we are in Java mode (only if a midlet is running). There is a swith on my phone for the calling images by you and chaos. I just switched to the patch by chaos in order to test the bug reported by you. The patch by Chaos does not turn off the phone if the incoming call is happened when we are in Java mode (even if a midlet is running)

Hansoliv 08-23-2004 09:54

I've got the same problem in ICF patch. If the number of the caller is set to incognito (hidden!!) the ringtone is set to mute - if the caller unhides the number the filter works.... I think there's an error in some patch routines! But I don't know which patch can be responsible for that.... :(
