HI:

IŽd like to know a reliable way to know if network problems are from PA or antenna switch (without oscilator or any tool).

Thanks and regards

Thanks and regards

As I understand in First thread :

When the signal comes in the moment of power on and drops after minutes or seconds the problem is in 80% of cases PA (power Amplifier ).

and when It is absent at all In this mmement It can be duplexer (switch antenna) or Hagar in 80% of cases .

Sometimes, you may have to manually select a network, if the service provider operates only single band, not dual band.
Because in dual band, the 900Mhz could be used for Transmit and a complimentary pair is used for Rx in 1800Mhz or the other way round.
Good thread though

For DCT3 phones, use the GO-NO GO software solution with Eeprom Tool, DCT3 Tester etc.
Pls note that the software will not solve your problems, but may point you in the right direction.
And in most cases, solutions to hardware problems can be found in:

You do not said the function of CPU, RAM ????
Is CPU Function Rx Or Tx ?????
I have try what you said man, but it's still not working.
I have N. 8250 No Signal, I'm checking the Voltage between CCONT and PA it's good, i change the new RF (Hagar IC's). it's still not good, I change all the part's what did you say before, it's still not good. i change the all component from the well phone.
But my experience last is, i changed the RAM Ic's the signal is good.
please answer my question above.
what is function CPU IC's in Signal ?
Why after i change the RAm the signal is good ?
thank's....
Anybody have the same experience with me, please quote!

cpuuniversal central power)you must be too much expert to change it !!!!!!!! but if the signal is bad from cpu, i think that you phone is dead.
about ram i think that your signal was bad from ram and you have sucesfool done these.but you are fortunatly becouse your ram was not protected.and in 90% of 8210 and 8250 ram is protected and you have nothing to do.anyway i speak in generaly for ram and his parts in signal.because i see very well in my laborator when ram is bad in signal becouse the burst analysis tell the frequence too inormaly .
But these thread is for new begeners in nokia signal and i tell the parts of pa dublexer cobba hagar ,i can"t tell him to change cpu in the first 5 nokia experience .
i hope to begin a new thread for experts in nokia signal to discute a new problems in nokia signal,becouse is very important i think!
thanx for the question and good luck from

KEANY

@keany
cpu=universal central power
sorry if I made mistake but as I know cpu is something like central procesing unit thats the core of sistem and not universal central power for power in nokia is ccont as I know.

Another problem what I have is with 6310 that work ok on some area but in case if signal is low even if phone show 1,2 or 3 bars on signal loose conection on call.already changed PA and switch and don't have profesional rf tester.what can be the problem?

This is something general and sometimes it works. however sometimes doesn't work at all. I prefer to use service manuals and equipment. That's what they are here for.
Don't go and change everything on the phone, find the fault first
