win imei and d500 wrong imei problem

ok i thought i would test out win imei for the d500 so i tested it out on my own d500 phone
there is no setting for tmobile uk so i set it for default
entered a new imei clicked change imei entered codes needed clicked ok powered up cable powered up phone

phone went into tat mode and after 42 seconds failed due to not been able to read old imei

anyway i checked my imei out of curiosity now it reads all 000000

i have tried around another 40 attempts at putting it back to the original
but with no success always says cant read old imei

i even had another version of win imei but it wont work but that does have the option to select alot more network providers
i did try moving the soft country .dat file from this version to the working version to give more network options but this just gave a runtime error on the program

is there anyone out here that can help me correct my imei
