Sorry dude, I'm not sure why it went wrong or how it can be fixed (though I'm sure it can). I suspect you may have to flash your boot files though please wait for someone else to confirm this.

DOn't flash boot files to these phone. It may brick the phone forever. Just reflash with another firmware in Emergency mode

That takes you to the same place as in WestHej's guide - fails to download the firmware from the boot downloader.

Smile

Huge thanks to Flipje & nedooo.
For anyone else who had similar probs if you go back to WestHej's screengrab
I had to check to box which said Full Download and then press the Boot button and browse to the boot files which came along with the bin files as part of the firmware.
I then followed the instructions as per WestHej.

That was close there thought I'd bricked my new phone.

Thanks to all who tried to help.
PS. That was my first attempt at flashing - good to know people out there are willing to help.

So what's XXFH7 like? Any comments? Wondering if it's worth flashing from XEHF3?

XEFH3 is great but I think it still tiny bit buggy and a tiny bit slow too.

Also has anone foudn out what the difference is between rc2 mid and low?

Not sure on the mid and low front with the .rc2 files but have always flashed with low.

HF7 seems pretty decent and the camera is a tad quicker and has lost most of that soft pixellated look on the screen.

Works fine for me - stuck with the rc2 low option so have no idea what the difference would be.
Don't get the blurry camera thing a lot of folks with earlier firmware seem to go on about.

Just happy to have working phone again
