Hi guys,

Not sure where you all are based but I keep my Tocco in this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NP01-Mobile-Ca...6.c0.m14.l1318

Taken the back plastic covers off (where two weird dots in the laquer on mine from new anyway) but haven't dared remove the front one yet. It's peeling so will have to come off soon enough.

Not had it two weeks yet.

Thanks Stu, I am also on mid, I tried both finding mid to be a tiny bit faster on the UI, it all seems a bit smoother.

What I do seem to notice with the camera is, I will hold down the camera button half way and it focuses well. I will then take the picture and the quality will be absolutely crystal clear. You will see this crystal clear-ness for about a second and you then see the picture almost flash into a lower quality.

Does anyone else see this?

That's exactly what I get, Conway - although, with the new firmware the drop in quality is much smaller. It almost feels like a 5MP camera now, whereas before it was no better than the one on my old Sony-Ericsson W800.

how do i get vodafone tocco into flash mode?

"Hold down the 'Volume down' key (The bottom rocker button on the left side of your phone) and the camera button and press the power on button. Your phone should start up into a wierd screen with downloader v.5.32 or something and some boxes. It's now ready to be flashed."

IVE TRIED THE ABOVE BUT IT DOESNT SEEM TO WORK, MY PHNE JUST STARTS UP AS NORMAL AND THE WIDGET(MENU) SCREEN COMES ON WITH A NO SIM MODE MSG.??
CAN ANYONE HELP?

Try this combination: hold button, volume down key & camera button, at the same time press and hold all of them and turn on the phone ( take out your sim card ).

I'm glad that its not just me then! I too have noticed an improvement, however I'm still quite annoyed. If you buy a phone with 5MP then you should get 5MP not a nearly 5MP. I always have a negative eye when it comes to things like this. Yes it is an improvement, but its still not perfect.

Have you tried switching off the anti-shake feature? Apparently that makes a bit of a difference, I read on another forum...

What annoys me is the panoramic picture function - it might be able to take 180-degree pictures but the quality is dreadful! I mean, 483 pixels high by 1400 wide is a complete waste of time.

HF7 is newer (and the latest I know of that's available for us to use).

H means 2008
F means June
7 is the version number for that month.
