Vodasay my phone isnt an F480 when it is - GSM-Forum

hi ive flashed my F480 to the F480XYIA1 (for the time being) I previously flashed it to F48FXEIA1, but i am having a problem.

When i want to download the musicstation app from vodafone's site i pick out the right make & model etc and wehn i go to retrieve my download it says my handset isnt recognised...any ideas as to how i can change this, am i on the right track in thinking its something to do with the user-agent string?

I'm on vodafone uk network.

and anybody know how i can get windows live messenger download from 3 (i have another toco on 3 with F48FXEIA1 fw but it says certificate error..anybody a solution to this?

vodafone brands telephones heavily, very often telephones from voda are identified with "v" letter as well so there were z400 and z400v, l760 and l760v and f480 and f480v when you look at some sites with unlocking or phone configuration you find as welll normal and "v" versions this might be the reason for trouble
