Angry Z130 All night was charging .. now dead

Hi all,

My friends Z130 was left with connected charger all night long, and in the morning he found it not turning on ...

One thing, when I connect charger in phone, charger connector led gets RED !

I cant flash it with MultiDownloader and USB cable, as it cant enter flash mode with pressing 4 + power on (are these correct buttons?) ...

I cant use LG7050 COM cable with this multidownloader as it works via USB I guess !

Maybe its hardware problem, or maybe battery is dead (voltage is up to 4 though!), I have no other battery here yet

Any ideas ?

@BB-gsm

this sometime happens, when you put the phone on charging while you go to sleep, and in next morning you wake-up but phone does not . ie it dies.

so now lets come to the point

1. as already said first try with other good charger and battery.
2. if other charger is not available, simply check if the old charger is giving output voltage or not. if there is about 4 to 6 volts DC, you can assume it as good, no need to change it.
3. attach the charger with the phone , donot put battery in the phone, quickly check if there is any voltage at the battery connectoer fo the phone,
there should be some voltage , it varies from set to set, you can get min 1.8 or maximum about 4 to 5 volts.
4. if you get these voltages, you can assume that at least charging + some part of power ic is working.
5. if you dont get any voltage at the battery terminals it means charging section is not working.
6. if you dont get charging voltage at the battery terminals , normally , its due to fuse is ****n up., it can be bypassed with very thin wire.
7. if you find fuse is OK and still no volatge at battery terminals , it means there is some short circuit in the charging section.
8. this can also be identified very easily, to do so pls open your set , attach charger to it , wait for few mins, than quickly check by touching various parts , near to the charging connector and tha rest of the board, you will find few small parts heating up . Normally these parts are either capacitors or protection diode , which are grounded by one end, you need to identifies these over heating parts, once you find it, simply remove it , no need to put new in replacement.
by doing so now you must get DC voltage at battery terminal of the phone.

if u have external power supply with current and voltage indicator,

use 4.2V from external power supply
remove batterie, and put + of external power supply to + Vbatt and - of power supply to - Vbatt

if in current indicator u see more than 0 mA, therefore ur phone have a shorted circuit (damaged circuit)

if not try

To make it more clear if you get excevie current drain @more than 150ma in power off position than there is short circuit .

before doing any such thing pls set current limit to 150 mA in your regulated power supply unit. other wise it can do more damage.

Thumbs up Charging Solution

Let us try to understand with more clear vision:

pic no 1 is flow chart for CHARGING PROBLEM.

Pic no2 is Circuit for Charging Section.
If Charger is tested OK and still you get no voltage at battery terminals of the phone , pls try removeing parts with RED marking.

ENJOY

Thumbs up

IF set still demands more current pls remove first COIL F803 and check again if current becomes normal than either C824 OR C827 OR BT-Module is FAULTY.
This can further tested by fixing again F803 and remove C823+827, if still Battery terminal shows SHORTING or Leackage than BT-Module is Faulty.
