Samsung Gravity 3 (SGH-T479) not able to install JAR file - GSM-Forum

Hello community,

I am new here and have a question about my Gravity 3 phone. For example, I want to Bluetooth a JAR file (which SGH 479 should support since their games, etc are Java-based) onto the phone, the sending works without a glitch but when I try to open the JAR file, it says the Unsupported file type... now, I am not clear what this means with the exclusion of, well, the phone does not support JAR, but I've browsed all over various forums, search engines and such that the Gravity 3 DOES support Java files in which a JAR file is. I'm wondering though, is there a way to have the JAR installed?

try installing a .cab file instead

Is it possible to convert the JAR to cab?

Just renamed the JAR to CAB, it is unsupported.

awesome this post actually i have to purchase a mobile so anyone can suggest me about any mobile or about gravity 3, i have trialed it then also i wanna hear many people.... becoz whatever i will purchase i will keep for long time thats why i m in confusion about my new mobile
