Same problem here. Old version working fine. V8, no go for me...Guessing the encryption has changed.

unstall old version
delete folder

restart then install new version

There must be more than just the 2 of us with this problem.

What security changes have been made, or what is the security the same as SMTI, JAF, etc. Just to help me try and find the problem.

Well, I'm buggered if I know.
Spent hours installing, uninstalling. Using 3rd party uninstallers, registry cleaners / repairers. Uninstalled AV, firewall, disabled spybot. Removed egate drivers (desperation I know). Manually unistalled the hardware, and tried the egate card in another egate reader...V8.00 just won't start. All previous versions will install and work without fault.

Don't have another pc near atm so can't try (can't see the need tbh. Something must have changed with the security).

Has anybody else had the same problems and managed to work around it?
