but sir many and many softwares run only via internet

like GOT , Kulankehndi , and many others we can not use Linux in that cases , beacuse we have to use internet and also supporting OS is windows only :(

thanks, even this furiousattack i suspect ..it attacks your harddisk,sucking your staff and they are able to to browse your folders just like local unsecured networked computers

if you want to protect ur PC , LINUX is the BEST WAY.
Ya, i knew that every application does not run on LINUX, so i suggest for mass internet use like when we need to SURF or Check E-MAIL or CHAT or even DOWNLAOD anything from WEB, that time use LINUX.

for other applications where IE is required, only than use BILL-GATES windows or DOORs thats ones own choice.

otherwise keep ur self disconnected from the NET.

Attempting to run unknown *.exe or *.com files will result in the damage your System by viruses and troyans.
So use Firewall, Antivirus and keep them always updated. It will lower the risk of catching a viruses.

Format + reinstall??? Are you cure headache by cutting head off?

Never had any virus or trojan problems with all windows pcs and servers i was responsible for. I know there are many m$-haters who have too much time and spend all this time to code viruses and trojans, so its not really a Software-"problem". How many people are interested in damaging Microsoft´s reputation? A lot! More than alot! How many people are interested doing this to Linus distributions? Hm .. no one? :rolleyes:

If people would spend this time to harm Linux products, they would suceed like they did it with MS.

And btw .. this trojan (keylogger) is detected by i.e. Sophos since 04 September 2004 11:59:17 (GMT) according to their website.

There is plenty of more easy ways to get rid of such pests... No need to spend 3 days trying to get everything back like before this kind of "cure"...

My Dear Friend.

My Post and Myself has nothing to do with Bill-Gate or Linux

as i myself was keylogged by someone , so i just wished to share my
experience and knowladge with all of my forum members.

all the files which i mentined in my first post were found in my PC, and
NOD-32 + kespersky not able to Detect it.

as i felt something maybe wrong with my PC , so i searched my self and found
these BAD THINGS,

it took me about 5h to manually clean my system, as lot of 100s of reg enteries.

IF ANY NORMAL PC USER HAS BAD LUCK OF THIS ATTACK, HE HAS NO OPTION
LEFT.


about LINUX, ITS MOST SECURE OS as far as i knew, maybe you dont like
it, as sometimes its not user friendly as MS-WIN.

IF you dont want to learn new things, and like to stick to old poor OS, Its your choice.
