A strange question...plz read Hi, I m very new to this board and wasn’t sure where to post this so plz forgive any mistakes. I have this project-idea in mind that I don't know if it makes sense but here it goes: Let’s say that we have a PC (running a server OS) in a remote location In that location (station A) NO ground line is available. If we connect this server to a GSM device (phone maybe) Can I access it, from another location (station B)? Maybe sounds (is ?) lame and confusing what I m asking but the point is if I can access and control a PC (station A) connected to a mobile device (eg GSM phone) from another PC (station B) far away with a normal modem ( lets say 56k v.90) I know that some mobiles have build in Modem can I connect such a phone to station A and gaining control to it from station B? I m sure it must involve remote access software but for the time being do u have any suggestions? Is there any other GSM module /device in the market for such a task? Even further if there is no GSM signal in the area where station A is, would these new Satellite/ GSM combination phones (eg for the GlobalStar), do the job? SMS (GPS) text commands (if there is such a thing) can access this [PCserver +mobile phone]? WAP capabilities may be? Any mobile wireless data transfer/receive service to help me gain information for this project-idea? Thank u for baring with me so far If this makes any sense, please share any idea and/or question Anything really… that might or might not simplify/complicate things more.... ;) Regards o_thanos |
