Member: 4923 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 74 | I2C monitor --------------------------- Here is question if anybody know: My friend working on a TV which was struck by lightning. The damaged parts were power supply and processor SDA555 B002. The power supply is now fixed and the processor replaced, but I still can not get the picture via tuner. The picture via SCART is OK, however without sound. When I measure the voltage on I2C bus, the signals are continuously changing. The voltage does not settle on 5V. With disabling SDA, SLC and other individual ICs I achive nothing. My guess is that the processor does not get the return info from an IC, (which is constantly addressing it), presumably the tuner. A few times I have noticed schematics (in Elektor) which enables technician to monitor the state on the IC2 bus with the help of an PC. Now I wonder if someone can help me get a Software with which I would be able to analize what is going on on the I2C bus. I wish to find out, (on the address which is addressed by processor), which component does not answers processor's request. I think this would help me locate the problem. Help would be greatly appreciated. --------------------------- |
