What is the difference between a Locked and unLocked telephone??


I think the title says everything...

What is the difference between a Locked and unLocked telephone??
sorry I'm new in all this staff, but I'm thinking in buying the Nokia6100 and in somo places it says Nokia 6100 Unlocked and in others not... what is the difference? Does it really matters??

lol u guys

I think ur talking about when aa fone is blocked on a particular network so it would be locked on that network and unlock is pretty much theopposite :P
