DREAMBOX and MARTECH speed comparison - GSM-Forum

Dear GSM community members, DreamTeam would like to provide you with information regarding key players in Siemens solutions market. We will be extending this section with more information as new solutions will appear.
If you have any additional information that is relevant to current thread and you consider this information would bring value to GSM community, feel free to inform us. We would readily analyze, verify and consider posting it here.
The following information would be interesting for us: more Siemens phone models with full flashing speed comparison on the products that are listed in this section or other GSM products for Siemens mobile phones.
Please pay attention that we are listing only "Write Full Flash" times here.
Any other information is not relevant to this thread and will be removed or reallocated to other threads.
We used the following PC configuration when checking the speed:

AMD Athlon(tm) 1600+ 1.40 GHz,
256 MB of RAM,
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 2
DreamBox Plus + DreamBox Service Software v2.4,
Martech BOX II PLUS with TESTPOINT ADAPTER v3.0. + Martech SIEM Service Tool v14.5.

Depending on the factors (PC configuration, the type of chip flash in the phone etc.), the times can vary by 20%.

Hi bro!
Now I write full flash in A60 with my Martech and my time is 7.05, but I see you wrote 7.59, is this normal?

ppl wan't to see true information...

Times may vary for sure. The fact it's the huge time difference

DreamBox it's working really well and it's going into the best versions now. Some time ago I tried to find another solution for Siemens and now exists.

The difference between 2.24min and 7.05min is still quite big. Did u try Dreambox on your PC? this way its flashing speed should be even higher :-)

please include also - near the speed comparison status - how helpfull is the HW support of the boxes. (how quick and how much does it cost the change of faulty Dream boxes!!)
