Dreambox team...Testpoints info needed

Hi,

I have just bought a Dreambox. I have been searching support site and forum but could find answers to my question. My question is that although you advertise Sgold models as direct unlock, no need fot TP, but i have a C72 v22, which i have just been told by my resellor has to be done via TP.

Can you provide a list of models which can be done direct, and which cant, including the versions that can be done direct and which have to be done via TP.

Thanks you this

hi again

thanks for the quick reply. But i am still not too satisfied with the answer. As i mention before c72 v22 has to be done via TP and in ur reply you have said that there is no need to disassemble thew phone.

My resellor has told me that only up to v16 is no TP on that model, so could you kindly tell me up to which versions need direct and which version need TP.

The link that you provided only mentions the phones supported not if they need TP or Direct unlock

Im sorry if im asking the wrong questions but its needed in terms of being successful with the dream box

Thanks

For phones from the list "Siemens models that do NOT require disassembling" you can use direct boot modes:
  • Format Bootcore boot mode for SGold phones
  • Normal and BootCore Bug boot modes for EGold phones.
Also for SGold phones (for C72 and others) you can use Auto, Firmware Bug or Test Point boot mode. How to use these boot modes you can read here and in DBSS Help.
An informations about possible boot modes for phones are in DBSS. Just run DBSS, choose Mobile Phone and in Access Mode you will see them .

hi

thanks a lot, that has worked very well.... im begining to get the hang of it now.

Have another question. I unlocked another c72 with martech TP solution. it was done fine. then i tried it the direct way and I killed the phone. how, i dont know, but the phone just doesnt come now, which is strange coz im sure i couldnt have damaged the hardware as i didnt open it this time.

Anyway, can i fix it using dreambox, and if i can, how?

Sir dont worry... its fixed. I just used the format bootcare option and the phone was fixed in seconds....

Im begining to like this dream box. Thanks and keep up the support
