I have 2 w 600 for cingular and the both dead wihle unlocking , any solution to bring it back ? Also it was unlocking fine but at the end it said cannot recover flash and then phones it dead ? I'll thankfull for help

Here is guide how to full repair W600
Usualy with this procedure can be solved ANY software problems
(dead, Please Wait, ...)

1. - Use Test Point - Checked
- Skip TP when flash MAIN, FS - NOT Checked
- Complete phone after flash - NOT Checked
- Recover Certificate - NOT Checked
- Flash W600_EROM_CID49_RED.mbn as MAIN file
- Connect/disconnect Test Point on phone when software ask

2. - Use Test Point - Checked
- Skip TP when flash MAIN, FS - NOT Checked
- Complete phone after flash - NOT Checked
- Recover Certificate - NOT Checked
- Flash (your choice) MAIN file from MAIN_IMEI directory
- Connect/disconnect Test Point on phone when software ask

3. - Use Test Point - Checked
- Skip TP when flash MAIN, FS - Checked
- Complete phone after flash - NOT Checked
- Recover Certificate - NOT Checked
- Flash (your choice) FS file from FS directory
- Not need to use Test Point on phone

4. - Use Test Point - Checked
- Skip TP when flash MAIN, FS - NOT Checked
- Complete phone after flash - NOT Checked
- Recover Certificate - NOT Checked
- Flash W600_EEPROM_Area_Flash.mbn as MAIN file
- Connect/disconnect Test Point on phone when software ask

5. - Use Test Point - Checked
- Skip TP when flash MAIN, FS - NOT Checked
- Complete phone after flash - Checked
- Recover Certificate - NOT Checked
- Remove all filenames from MAIN and FS edit boxes
- Connect/disconnect Test Point on phone when software ask

6. - Use Test Point - Checked
- Skip TP when flash MAIN, FS - NOT Checked
- On Repair tab mark Rebuild SP Area and Remake CRC's
- Do Selected Jobs
- Connect/disconnect Test Point on phone when software ask

7. - Use Test Point - Checked
- Skip TP when flash MAIN, FS - NOT Checked
- On Unlock tab mark Clear SP Locks
- Do Selected Jobs
- Connect/disconnect Test Point on phone when software ask

I read that with version 8.5 is having that problem use 8.4 and use the files in support download them and flash the phone one by one,, that should solve the problem

I'm using 8.4, but I heard that in order to unlock this w600i without having it dead, you need to flash epprom main file first then it will be unlock , is that right ?

Hi,
I have a dead W600 as well. I can't get the phone to turn on. I am using USB-SMART. When I run the software it says switch phone on and after a while gives me error "phone no power up". Sounds like you have gone past this stage. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong? Explain how you figure which com port, do you connect something to the alligator clips? And anything else that might be helpful.

Am I doing something wrong?
Now I have 2 dead phones. What's next?
Too many people killing w600i phones, this can't be a coincidence.
Zulea please look into this matter. As we can't always flash=40 minutes if not successfull another 40 minutes an so on. Every now and then is ok and expected but back to back to back w600i is very frustrating.

I was having the same problem, what I did was used old 7.8 and phone came back up.

I always keep old versions in my HD for this matter. Try it,you don't loose anything.

I did read those sticky and nothing samething , now I did unlock one last night did not get chance to see software version , but I 'm trying to get that phone, but I do know diffrent between that the one that going dead http://onlinestorez.cingular.com/cel...093&WT.svl=mod
as seen on this site te color orange is going dead and the color gray is doing unlock fine I don't know different yet when I get phones I will post , but is it wise read flash from that phone and flash it to orange ones? ,also that orange coming dead from people trying to unlock from Criuser , Setool and all others method
