Help with code reader please - GSM-Forum

I've just downloaded code reader 13. When I open it, there are no options showing in the COM port box?? Any ideas anyone?

PS I have a com cable with a 9v battery connector and an auto ignition switch. Do I need to connect a battery and is the swith off or on?
