Don't ask for hardware solution because it doesn't exist or not possible by simple means. | |

Member: 8594 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 13 | Ok, thank you for your answer. I know it has different locations for IPL/SPL and thus erased it. But I was just hoping to be able to initiate boot in some way even when it's damaged (as is possible with some other brands). How can I know before asking when it hasn't been asked before... Also nothing is impossible, it is just not possible for us (yet): I guess htc can do it, omap processor has jtag interface and flashchips can be programmed directly... |

This means as soon as the phone tries to startup it will try to initialize a wrong processor and different external components (is like you startup your toaster with the firmware of the washing machine). For sure this will cause a lockup of the device during startup of bootloader ==> whenever you try to turn of the device it immediately crashes. Flashing with JTAG is not possible right now. as pawa say, no other hw solution to solve this problem B.R., Raskal |

Member: 8594 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 13 | Ok, thank you all for answering. Unfortunately I don't have bga soldering skills/tools, so I just returned the phone to the customer and confronted him with his mistake. I think he won't be trying to 'fix' phones himself for a while now |
