Member: 217479 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 267 | InfraRed rework station inquiry i have just bought T862 IRDA rework station & i have realized that it doesn't work with real infrared beams & it's only a high output AC lamp that generates a high temperature & with that it can desolder & solder, i'm not saying that it's fake & doesn't work it's just little slow & i have to adjust it to the max temperature 350 to be able to desolder & solder & less than that it will take very long time. and now i want to know is there other rework stations that works with real infrared beams or all of them works the same way as this one, many thnx for all & best regards ... |

Member: 77941 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 120 | ....all are same byt you must to have a preheater to use this kind of stations, it is used to heat PCB......basicly preheater is caramic grill which heats your PCB from 100-400C , for me works good at 200C for all leadfree phones, qand yes it takes more time to heat all PCB, then work on it, them need some time to wait for cooling PCB then - tests etc WBR |

Member: 13459 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 6 | Hello all, A little bit old topic, thx for infos, I-ve just bought the T862 station from SquareGSM, it is a wonderful tool, I've used the infos above, with preheated pcb at 150, max 200 degrees celsius, it works perfect. I've changed SIM IC's in Nokia near SIM holder and no damage to plastic! SUPER TOOL! If anyone have more info, tips and tricks, please post here! Regards, AirBoy |

Lamps can easily get busted. Our new Tornado Infra Station, the worlds first handheld infra rework station, uses ceramic IR, one of the best in the IR technology. Ceramic IR radiators are electrical heating elements consisting mainly out of a technical ceramic being high-temperature resistant and has long service life due to an embedded heating coils. The tornado infra has reasonable price without degradation of its quality, easy to use, without too much complications. Or you can pm me directly. regards, ren Last edited by Raheeeeb; 07-26-2007 at 18:26. Reason: edited due forum rules number 12 and 13 |

Member: 16856 Status: Offline Sonork: 1582037 Thanks Meter: 441 | Infra Red is more fantastic than functionnal !!! It have you believe there is something specific because of using Infra Red Let's have a look at T862 for example, this is even not infra red, they wrote IRDA on it ! Good News, who knew that IRDA data connection is able to solder sth ??? Aren't they playing with people ?? Back in 1999 years, when first bga phones where out ( V3688, L7089, 8810, 8210, 3310, T18s, T28s, T20s , expensive INFRA RED stations were great to use on old phones ( JVC PDR, ZEVAC, ... ) Nowadays many phones are made with sensitive components like rtc batterys or Electrolytic Diodes that may blovv/explode with IR so they are easier to be reworked with HOT AIR bga stations , because Infra Red heat flow isn't as sharply controlable as hot air is. Infra Red requires a warm plate from under, and the infra red light gets the heat focused from the bottom to the top. Hot Air is more convenient to solder local parts successfuly, without heating the whole board. Now this is a Hot Air era Check hot air bga stations from : Martin, Weller, Bokar ... And don't be fooled no more, because of scientific words ... BR Max_B |
