I made a mistake in my last post. What i was asking was if anyone has tried the Magical Detector by Ya Xun. Its a universal mobile tester. Here's a link to it: www.zytx.net . Look for "magical detector". With it you can know if a phone is transmitting or not, you can check continuity, data and clock signals. Its an all round tester at a low price of around 50 USD or less.

osciloscope is an important tool to repair GSM hardware fault, but:
- this will take too much time to repair a difficult fault
- u need original SM to know witch spectrum u must get in it, or must have a good experience with it to make the test fatest.
- if phone is cheaper, this will be useless, if not, it's depend from ur customer if will pay xx or xxx euro for repair, and it's depend from how much work u have.


i voted for "yes" by mistake, i'm with "no".

anyway it's important tool but not really necessary and it depend from phone value and customer them self and don't forget SM from higher level.

On Ipmart's website its called the "magian detector" and is in the GSM repair tools section. Its the same device with another name. They sell it for around 62 USD, maybe a little more.

hi everybody on contact service problems there is a problem of missing a signal between audio ic (cobba) and the flash ic and before someone just go and start remore ics i need to check
the connection on pcb between this two.
this is one way to use the magician tester or magian tester this tester can grasp that signal . if there is a signal comming from cobba then you will know thnat you flash ic its with problem and you need to reflow or replace

For LVL3-4 repairs it is imperative to have oscilloscope. It depends on which type of service center you have, i guess. I voted 'yes' because it will help you find faults on water damaged phones that you would not see with multimeter, but you must have experience with it and lots of dead/damaged phones to make profit of it.

some poeple said that oscilocsope make we work more slow...

BUT I DIDNT THINK SO...

just make data... make a master picture.. cause actually we use osciloscope for dead and signal promblem...

with this we will work faster and... Accuratelly...

and... will give u much money...

tested by me since 2004 i use osciloscope and frequensi counter....
