i think using an oscilloscope will consume a lot of time and besides its hard to use....

Using oscilloscope requires a lot of experience, if you plan to use it now and you've got no experience in repair of bigger electronic circuits such as TV VCR vcd's, and if you have no teacher on using it, you'd really consume a lot of time.

So SImple... No need Long time ago when analyse hardware phone damaged.....

Please dont say it difficult if u dont ever try it.... yes, we have to read schematic correctly and can operating ocilocope... then we can be better... and off course, more professional...

whether a board is short r not u can find very easily with d help of an ordinary multy meter which is costing just 10$.with d help of scope u can find only rx &tx wave forms&that's costing 250$.

Oscilloscope

Oscilloscope is the best equepment for gsm or cdma handsets.mostly it is used to work in network sections.
