Cant Unlock e606 / e808 anymore ? - GSM-Forum

Used to be able to unlock them no problem ( with the old s/ware )
But now cant do any

I solder the testpoint wires from redbox support pics ,
Select com 1
Then it says power on the phone .But it never finds it when I hold the power button

Tried last week on a 606 . and now I have an 808 to do , but the same results.

ps .. how much are the e606/808 clips now

the same thing happen to me
with new setup some softwares dont work
with e 606 i use the old software to unlock,becouse the new one does not work
in new software say power on the phone ,but nothing happen after power on the phone
try brother the old one

Solder the 4 x wires on as support says

Connect through unibox ( or redbox )

Select com1

Press / & hold power button when told

red box unlocking e606 and 808 no problem unlocking conect cable and unlocking push the power phone and phone then ok unlock

Cant understand why its not working anymore

It used to work 100% everytime with any e606 etc

Am gonna install it on my xp machine and see if that makes any difference

According to you ,you are doing right,but according to me you are soldring wrong,
1 green is ground
2 RX is RED
3 TX is White

I used green & Orange together as stated at support ( Thats why there is 4 x wires )

But have also used green by itself & orange by itself , but always the same error .

i unlocked many e606 with only 3 wires no need to sold fourth wire sir.

I used to unlock them with only 1 gnd wire , but now I see 2 wires for gnd so I have tried , but it doesnt make any difference . I have some communication problem.
I will try on Monday with a different machine and see if that works .

for me it doesn't work also. before the new setup it is working but now it doesn't.

I think that on RB the 7 and 8 pins are same GND
so it makes not a difference if u connect green+orange or just green
It must work
Why don't u try another Sw
Spears works fine for me
