How to install drivers for Option USB modem?


I have a Option Icon 7.2 modem - when i connect it to the PC, device manage only detecs "USB Dongle 32 USB Device". How am i supposed to install drivers for this modem when my PC-doesn't detect anything else than a "disk drive"?

if U will wait some seconds then U don't see pop up installer ?
what system are U using? XP ?. Also look on Disk Driver for any installer sw, some modem need to install first software and after modem drivers are installed.

You were right. I connected it to another PC, and here it was detected as a CD-rom. On that virtual cd, there was a setup program, and when it completed, apperantly it "switched" the device, because now it is no longer a cd, but a network card, 2 com ports, and a usb device - not a MODEM-device. All drivers were installed automaticly, so i can't use the drivers from support... (is that essential?).

When i try to read info in kulankendi, it says it couldn't find modem or something like that. I made sure COM-port number was under 16 for the two com-devices.

Do you have any idea what to do?
