Gsm profiles for jovy re-7500

i have jovy since 1year,i think working on this equipment is so dificult without profiles....maybe someone have this reworking system and have some profiles to exchange???

Hi i used the jovy for about a year and got it when gsm forum had an offer on it ---- its not to bad to use pretty stable --ideal for removing and replacing chips --the only thing i had a problem with is if you tryed todo one job after another the machine liked a little break between jobs --but for the money it cost its a complete bargin ----

the temperature rises +3c to 5c, so chose the x3 setting according to your jovy machine errors (how much the temp spikes after the profile is completed).

Do not move the upper heater to parking mode after the profile is completed, wait for five to seconds then move the upper heater to parking mode while reflowing. when removing the IC move the upper heater immediately after removing the IC.

this profile settings are working for me , pls work on junk boards and check the profiles efficiency & do not blame me if it fails, i am just trying to help you.

They will do blame you or the machine , My advice is to take time with your machine and read about Dark IR emitters behavior and methodology . It will work great

Man wanted not to smart for Jovey
 

I have recently bought a Jovey and have been practising on Xboxs. At present Im able to remove chips without damaging either board or chip. Also able to reball the chip. Im very modest.

My problem (I think) is when I go to put the chip back on the board. Doesn't appear to go back on level even though I have the board fasten to a clamp.

After I put the chip on the board the Xbox normally still turns on but red light problem still exists.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong. Or do I need to sell my Jovey lol

ive still had 3 red lights after a few like this but i remove again reball again and make sure your abs perfectly aligned as per silk screen print

New to this forum.
I burnt one board already with Jovy now i have found your profile & will use it. I am sure to get result. Can you please tell me if I should add Flux before starting preheat or after the preheat is complete. Thanks

Apply flux before placing pcb on the x,y table, if possible apply flux and use hot air ****er to **** flux below the bga (dont use too much of heat), this method ensures wetting of the solder balls properly. after the reflow process, clean with DI water or IPA it depends which type of flux you use (you can use even good quality thinner, some people wont agree with me), my advice is use Interflux Belgium IF8300 BGA flux gel, it is very good.

Thank you so much. I bought AMTECH flux from Jovy Seller in London. I will use the one you have suggested. I used the profile you mentioned for lead-free & it worked. I think the temperature shown by the Thermal conductor is not correct, it shows lot less. Is there a special way to place the Thermal Coductor on the board. I am thinking of buying IR Thermometer for accurate reading. What do you suggest.

Happy to know that profile worked for you, jovy is a entry level rework machine mastering it takes lot of time, normally lead free bga should melt at 215C but check with your jovy machine how much the temp spikes after the profile is completed then adjust the profile setting for the rework, normally dont go by the laser pointer in the jovy for placing the pcb and the bga for rework, check with a small match stick for the centre of the ir element to place the bga underneath and also i have faced problem of placing the pcb in proper level on jovy x,y table because jovy supplied pcb holder is not professional.
